The official iPad application for the Australian Open allows users to explore a smorgasbord of live data-feeds in an interesting and engaging way. Icons representing scores, tweets, stats, photos, etc. are constantly updated with real-time data on an endless canvas of a tennis court. There is also an autograph function that lets you sign the iPad directly with your finger. During the Australian Open a bunch of tennis stars signed their names on the iPad, allowing for users to store their autographs in the accompanying digital scrapbook. The application became the most downloaded worldwide in the sports category, and was named iPad app of the month for January 2011.

For the Australian Open 2011, an interactive online experience was created that allows for users to explore the myriad of comments made daily about the tournament in a visually engaging and playful way. The graphics are all built up from live data. To explore a certain topic, a tag can be selected from the bottom of the banner. The module will then pull in relevant comments from a live data feed, and display them as a cluster of floating particles. The user can then interact with the particles to have live comments revealed to them. The experience was placed in many of the country's leading online publications, such as the Herald Sun and the Australian.
